There have been rumblings on internet forums for a while now about a replacement for Intense’ 8in travel Socom, and when a few shots made their way onto the internet and were then pulled it seemed that there was indeed something in the works from the boys in Temecula. As it happens the 951 (Temecula’s area code) will not be replacing the Socom but will sit between it and the full bore M6 model.
Specs for the 951 FRO include VPP2 suspension which can be altered to give either 8in or 8.8in of travel, G3 dropouts that allow the bottom bracket height and head angle to be altered, ISCG 05 and an 83mm bottom bracket. Intense say they will be releasing a non-FRO model in the future with non-adjustable dropouts and a traditional, non-monocoque, downtube which will be cheaper. Obviously the most exciting thing for the Intense geeks here in the office is the return of Kawasaki racing green as a colour option. Yum.

Anybody know what the disc rotors are on the red FRO model? Those ones look so much better than the standard XT/Saint ones… I want some!
I’ve just ridden the green one with the new super secret (not really) Fox shock. I want one. Badly. And in the flesh the green looks absolutely fantastic. Will get some video from the proper test ride and post it later this weekend.
I guess the price is Frame only
