Eurobike 2011: MRP and White Brothers

by 5

MRP has recently collaborated with SRAM, which has rebadged its G2 chain device as an XO-level chain keeper for single rings. But even as it was announcing this at the Sea Otter this spring, we got a glimpse at a new chain keeper for double chainring setups

Here’s the new ‘2X’ chain device from MRP. It’s not the ‘Two times’ or the ‘Two Ex’, but the ‘Two by’ as in two by ten and is meant to work with any new 2×10 setup, with an outer ring running from 39-42T

There are two free-running jockey wheels to keep the chain firmly in place and MRP reckons it’s completely unnoticeable in use. We’ll try to get one in on test once they’re out.

Meanwhile, sharing the same booth was White Brothers, showing it’s ‘no, it’s nearly ready, honest’ Loop fork in 29jn (there’s a 26in version and a 650b too). 29in with a 15mm thru axle and 80-120mm or 120-140mm of travel. It features an innovative magnetically controlled damper. Again, we’re looking forward to this too…
