[#2509240]

are longer than the normal ones as they go through the caliper, washer stack, adaptor and then in to the threads in the forks.

But how long are they?

Thanks in advance you wonderful, wonderful people ๐Ÿ™‚

Measure the std (160mm) bolts and add on the thickness of the spacer (which is thicker one end)?

If you get no other info. I can get my son to measure his old bolts + his installed spacer.

I haven't received the spacer yet so can't! Thanks for the reply though.

However I'm hoping that something from my pack of spare bolts will fit - I think I have some M6 x 50 and 60's in there. I don't think I have any M6 x 35, 40 or 45...

I'd say 45mm and 50mm for the threaded section of the bolt (5mm more for the full length including head). I just nipped out and measured the bolts but they are attached to the forks so I'm having to guess that there's about 15mm of threaded bolt in the PM.

I have a spare set waiting for a new build, Threaded section of bolt measures 45mm. Full length including head comes up as 50mm.

Threaded section of bolt measures 45mm. Full length including head comes up as 50mm.

Careful, the bolts for the 185mm adaptor are two different lengths. The top of the adaptor (with the arrow on it) is wider than the bottom, so it needs a longer bolt. I really don't want to go and undo mine just to measure them though, it took flipping ages to get the disc spinning freely last time...

Long bolt is 45mm, short bolt is 40mm. Just measured the ones i am about to put on my new forks.

If you have longer bolts than you require, simply get a nut, spin it onto the bolt past where you need to cut it, cut bolt, spin nut up to mark and file end smooth. this should ensure you preserve the thread on the end of the bolt preventing any cross threading when put into the fork.
