DOCUMENTARY: Chasing Legends
On: ITV4 (24)
Date: Sunday 17th July 2011 (starting in 2 days)
Time: 16:30 to 18:35 (2 hours and 5 minutes long)
Fascinating documentary which follows the progress of the Team Columbia-HTC in the 2009 Tour de France campaign. They included Britain's cycling star Mark Cavendish rated by most as the greatest sprinter in cycling today. The programme looks at how the team planned Cavendish's six stage victories in what was an eventful and often controversial Tour de France. Hear the fascinating fly on the wall conversations between Columbia's Director Sportif's Brian Holm and Rolf Aldag as they provide in-car entertainment plotting each of Cavendish's sprints. With contributions from Mark Cavendish himself and the great Belgium cyclist Eddy Merckx.
(Stereo, Repeat, Widescreen, Subtitles, 2011)
