I know this looks like spam, but the new Chumba 29er HX2 is available in January, but i wasn't going to bother ordering any as i don't get the demand for them, however Chumba have just asked me to confirm if i want any, so nows your chance if anyone does fancy one 🙂

The frame will sell for £399, comes with EBB and is available in ano white, ano black and powder coated white.

Geo is the same as before http://www.progressive-bikes.co.uk/hx2_frames.html , designed around 100-120mm forks, HT is now a tapered jobbie, tubes are different, fully butted with a one piece seat/top tube junction and probably some other stuff i have forgotten!

We've already got our Scandals etc, and don't need to change them for the latest fashion. 🙂

I wouldn't want a 29er with a 120 fork anyway, I'm more interested in the Ragley approach designed for no suspension and clearance for fat tyres.

Funny how you seem to post on more 29er threads than most people that own them...

He's quite correct. Why get huffy?

Nice looking frame though and I probably wouldn't have known it was out there but for your oh so innocent thread

My bad, not had time to update the new frames, somehting that i will be doing this weekend.

I started this thread cos i was just giving the heads up about the fact that if anyone wanted a Chumba 29er frame then to speak up cos i wasn't planning to bring any over, hence the fact i have not done any website updating etc.

This actually looks quite nice.
Dont like the pair of cable guides slapped on the side of the headtube though.
Whats the weight ?

A medium frame will be around 3.75Lb without EBB, around 150g more with EBB.

Hi Si, sorry for the hijack, any ideas when the Canfield 'one' will be available, as am starting to consider bikes for next year.

Ton, the ST has been tweaked slightly, but to be honest as with most 29ers with really wide rims and wide tyres there won't be a huge mount of clearance.

loco, The One will be available around March.

How's tyre clearance with the new frame, could I run WTBs Dissents? If so I think I've found my next enduro frame.

Never tried those tyres, but i have seen the large Maxxis ardents on the frame with no problems.
