I've been using daily disposables for years now, just for sports use, but I'm thinking about switching to the ones that can be worn for up to 30 days at a time - including overnight. With the dailies I tend to either run out, or can be bothered putting them in before a ride, leading to scratched (and expensive to replace) glasses.
Anyone else using the continuous wear lenses? If so how are you getting on with them?
I used them a while back, not the 30 day ones, think mine were 10 day. Initially they were brilliant, waking up and being able to see was great. But after a couple of months I started to get really gunky eyes and the contacts were really uncomfortable. The opticians couldn't see anything wrong but i went back to dailies and eyes were fine again. My optician wouldn't fit the 30 day wear ones because he'd seen a lot of eye ulcers due to them
I've been wearing continuous wear lenses for about 7 years now; and it's fantastic being able to see when you wake up and not having to mess with lenses every morning/night. I seem to be one of the lucky ones however; lots of peope I know who have tried them didn't like them or found them uncomfortable after a few months (like ebygomm) and switched back.
I'd give them a try and see how you get on; but be prepared to swap back if they cause you problems.
