anyone running or ran iodine's ?
reports of hub and pawl failure leave me 'concerned'.......
tia
They've got Crank Bros written on it so they WILL fail/fall apart.
Way before they should do.
mudpup - i should know better...........
once bitten............
go handbuilt, forget the pose factor.
I bought a pair of Iodines in April 2010. The pawl carrier failed in October during an icy, pish-wet day at Afan. Luckily(!) for me, I was already three-quarters of the way round the W2, meaning there wasn't so much pushing to do back to the car park. I was ever so slightly annoyed...
The pawl carrier and freewheel were replaced under warranty with updated versions, but it's too early to say if they're more robust then the originals.
the seals in them are stupendously bad...
@ cynic-al i already have a few pairs of handbuilts on king hubs and 819's / 5.1's and crests....
wanted something a bit different for my next project.....
