Roite,

As all us big brand whores were discussing on another thread about a Pitch meet, has anyone got any ideas as to where it could be.

Preferably somewhere thats not all the way down south (for me anyway). And guranteed nice weather 🙄

Also gotta be "Mega Gnarl-core trail jey ness"

Also only bikes between £900 and £1300 RRP with Pitch/Bitch allowed, none of those £1000 plus frame thingies

I would happily show people some of teh good stuff in the Lakes. Or N Wales (or even S Scotland) is doable for me.

Now as I live just outside Chester I like the idea of North Wales.

But as I live in Northampton I liek the sound of Rowney Warren or maybe Woburn Sands.

How's about a weekend of it, Saturday do summit liek coed-y-brenin or the like, stay at the sorted bunk house (£15 each) in Machynleth, have lots of beer n' curry and on the Sunday maybe do nant-y-arian or Climax or summit like

Is this open only to Pitch owners ?
I have a fairly good knowledge of Cannock Chase should your meet venture that way. Follow the Dog is good but somewhat short. Mixed in with some off-piste stuff though it can make for a good few hours.
I don't have a Pitch though, just a burly built aging 04 Enduro.

YOu could qualify on "Grandfather Rights" as the Enduro is the ancestor of the Pitch and the new Enduro is the procier version 8)

Is there a limit on upgrade cost? So if a bike is £1300, but someone splashed a further £600 on it, that would not qualify?

Cannock / CYB / Llandegla sound a bit too much trail for a load of rad gnarl riders on their amazing Pitches.

I can't believe they can make such an amazing bike for so little money, yet they haven't compromised anywhere, especially looks

I bought mine in the US for $1800, when the exchange rate was 2.01. So I'm 4.48 shy of the bottom limit. Can I still come? The bottle cage cost me 6 quid.

It is starting to generate a decent amount of interest.

We'll have to decide on a venue soon & a date.

How does Good Friday sound for most people on here?

Hmmmm, a pitch meet up eh! Didn't realise there was a bit of a fan club for the bike 🙂

Might be a bit tricky to get back from NZ for the meet though 🙂

Here's the old pitch in Rotorua bike park

I know! How lame am I???

Is there a direct flight from Wellington to Coed y brenin? Haven't been there yet on the pitch just the old hardtail.

Might get 5 minutes riding in until I'm back on the old plane!

Surely for the ultimate Jey score this should be held on Pitch Hill in the North Downs?

Why don't you ask MBR to organise it for you? They can pretend its all for the love of their readers whilst providing huge amounts of publicity for their favored shonky bike manufacturer.

(Its like West Side Story this, Giant vs Shonkized. Perhaps we could have one of those dance-off fight things....) 😉

Where did Spech' v's Giant come into it?

Flame Job (et al),

I reckon Llandegla/coed-y-brenin or somewhere in the Midlands is the best bet. We really need somewhere with a good cafe though as extreem gnarl-core-jey-dropping requires mucho re-fueling afterwards as anyone in tehir right mind knows 😛

Cake in quantity is needed to ensure maximum Radness.

'Will repair bikes for food' - That mantra worked this last weekend on our Afan trip. I think I did about 3 general services!

I've got a Giant too.. where does that put me?

What about Cannock Chase? Not that I live anywhere near there, but used to ride there when I was at uni.
