Houndkirk wasn’t too bad at the weekend. You could ride along side the new surface between the boulders put down to keep the 4x4s on the path. It will be crap when its busy though as all the bikes and walkers will have one single file line to fight over.
The surface they are putting down is really crap as well. Very large stones so if you try to ride on it, it feels like riding on a pebble beach. If they surface the whole track like that it basically means nobody can use it. The 4×4 brigade will have as much fun on the main road, you won’t be to ride a bike over it and walking will be hard work as well.
