every time I see that pic (and after sparing a thought for the rat, obviously) I wonder what the head angle is on the fork - 45degrees or so ?

you could try FOX forks with a wtb WEIRWOLF on the front, that should add a bit of bite to your brakes

BEWARE OF TUFTY!!
Angry squirrel injures 3 people
The aggressive rampage of a squirrel in southern Germany finally came to an end on Tuesday after a 72-year-old pensioner killed the creature with his crutch. The squirrel however injured three people during the mayhem. AP reports that the rodent bit its first victim when it jumped through a living-room window in Passau, on the Austrian border, on Tuesday. The woman shook off the squirrel by running in the street while it was still hanging on by its teeth to her.
(the first time I read this I thought the squirell was killed by a pensioners crotch and was helpless with laughter for about 10 minutes, I must learn to read properly)

I went past a dead squirrel in Swinley Forest the other day. Lying on its back, arms and legs splayed, very dead, with a knobbly tyre track right over its middle!

I have run over a couple of the little pests myself - purely by accident i hasten to add - took the tail off one of the little blighters - found it when i rode back up the trail a little later.
