Guess that means Cav to Sky looking a certainty now.
The top ranked team in road cycling for the last few years, multiple stage victories in grand tours and couldnt find a sponsor so will be disbanding at the end of the season.

Chipotle!
Does make you wonder if the business model for pro teams is all wrong if the the most successful team in operation can't get a sponsor.
Priced themselves out of the market!
Now then. I reckon going to Sky will be good for Cav, but what do you think?
Bad idea for Cav to go to sky, you can't go for green jersey and the Yellow....and white at the same time in the same team, just not possible to build a squad to cope with it!
did the deal collapse because Cav was going to Sky ?
Terrible move for Cav IMO - up till now he's had a whole team with one goal, to get him to the front of the pack in a sprint finish - suddenly, there's other, bigger fish to fry, and the team has other priorities.
Why do you think Thor didn't win the green jersey this year?

that or we get the entertainment of watching them try to build this fabled monster squad. (if they succeed, will it ruin pro cycling?)
He may well end up at Sky but it's far from the only place that would want him. Maybe it wasn't Cav that broke the deal but the deal braking that helped make his mind up on where to go.
As it is now Renshaw and Eisel are both free to go with Cav if the choose to whereas if a sponsor had been found they were under contract for another year.

Because he wasn't able to, whatever team he was in his green jersey days are behind him.
