With all the fallen trees around at the moment, and a partially empty wood store, I’m tempted by one of these. I’ve got the safety equipment, but I can’t decide between these 2 saws.

    Whaddya think

I’ve used Husqvarna 236 for about 4 years with no problem, but trained on Stihl. Either will be fine.

Edit, you may find someone selling one or the other with cheap safety gear, that’s what I did, hence the Husqvarna.

    richmars +1.

I would favour the Husky (as that what I use and have no probs), and I believe you can still by Husky saws online, whereas I believe Stihl can now only be sold in a face-to-face sale.

Stihl for climbing saws, husky for groundwork. i could kill a stihl on the ground in a year, huskys are tougher
