can you give a ballpark figure Trout (even a inflated one would be good!)? Just so I have a rough idea of what I should start saving over summer? ๐Ÿ™‚

ohhhhh, me likey ๐Ÿ™‚

Would it work with soemthing like a cordless drill battery (~14V or ~18V, thats aporx, not AC!). Just thinking of a light with easy battery spares available would be nice.

This or a bastid, decisions decisions............

Hhmmm.

I'm working on other lights too at the mo, although I'm not so far down the line.

hopefully gonna be the smallest 1000 lumen light on the planet

A good target, but I find I'm limited by the size of the connector and the switch. Issues I'm sure you will have to consider also.

Leave enough space on it to engrave it

Yes it would work with any cordless drill from 12 to 18 volts no worries
it is going to get a bit smaller and lighter
it weighs in at 88 grammes including the mount and velcrostrap at the moment .

and if anyone is at MM and wants to see one then hunt out crell as he will have one on the bars and one on his helmet.

Yes I know what you mean there damn connectors and switches too sodding big If I find one I will let you know .
but in the mean time lots of nice things happening out there maybe we can be of assistance to each other ๐Ÿ˜‰

What will the current draw be? Any idea on price yet? Will it be on/off or have hi/lo settings?

88g? My current (240lumen) helmet light* is 55g, cant remember if that included the rubber mount though.

:-p

*DX 2xAA torch, with the barrel removed so the switch/electrics scrwes onto the lamp unit, hole drilled in the side and wires soldered tot he contacts, then into a 3V battery pack in my rucksack.

well as I have just cocked up and put the wrong driver in one of them

the helmet one is hi/med/low
and draws from a 15 volt source
hi = 700 ma
med = 200 ma
low = 100 ma

the bar light is Hi / lo only
and draws 700 hi and 200 low
but these levels are also user adjustable on both lights
