Here's my steed. Have put on some Stans Crest rims with Pro 2 Evo hubs since this shot though:

One thing I liked about the Kielder 100 was the sheer range of bikes doing it.

I'll be on this:

Slumming it a bit, after riding the TD-1 last year.

However, I bet you'll still cruise past some folks on their sooper-dooper, top-of-the-range, carbon-framed flying machines 😆

Change of plan today on the bike front.

I messed up bleeding the front brake of my Inbred, which has never really been right. I also managed to snap part of my bleed kit. I'm not going to have the time or inclination to sort it out by the weekend, so...

...I'm going to be riding my brother-in-law's geared full-sus Cube.

Two years ago, I rode my brother's FS bike round the Skills Loop at Hamsterley. Once. Other than two or three rides with sus forks on my Inbred before it got nicked I've never ridden suspension, so it might be a bit of a learning experience 🙂

Bleed kit? A piece of tube does me. Oh, and a syringe of the type a dentist may give you for keeping a wisdom tooth clean.

If I were you though I'd be thinking about a disguise 😉

Have fun. I bet it will be fast and lovely!

You've just left the circle of trust. You know how to get back in and it involves buying a bleed kit quick smart.

I have both of those. I've somehow managed to jam the cylinder and it won't push back in. I might get it sorted, but nice to have a back up 🙂

Left it overnight and the piston pushed back nice and easily, forcing out the excess fluid. Hopefully, that's sorted it and I can cancel my order for a false moustache.

Not too sure what I’ll be riding yet...

Can’t decide; either 26er:
[img] [/img]
Or this 29er:
[img] [/img]

At the moment it's the Giant...

Pacelets are up at http://tinyurl.com/k100pacelet2011

Can someone double check the figures for me? A couple of the checkpoints were only 1 mile more/less than a feed station, so I just used one figure for simplicity.
