Les Arcs is a fantastic place for riding, some of the best singletrack I've ever ridden is there.

Where did you stay?

i've started wearing goggles with my xc lid.

find glasses slip too much and you still get dust behind the lens. just stick the goggles on top on the up. and two sets of goggles (clear and tinted) are cheaper (generally) than sports glasses.

Hi Ash,

I personaly like the idea of goggles and xc lid ๐Ÿ™‚

Being a well controlled cyclist in the DH manner, do I realy
need to invest in a full face for the trails that trail addiction
ride?

I dont feel the need to have one in the uk on the steep stuff.

Your thoughts?

Wicked pics, I cant wait.

What Guy said ๐Ÿ™‚ (he should know, he was overtaken by an Alpine at La Thuile last summer ;-))

The Alpine is outstandingly good on 95% of Les Arcs trails, i.e. on all but the very bumpiest of trails (the ones that are that rocky that you can't pick a line through them)

On anything that is anywhere near smooth, I personally way prefer a decent hardtail to a susser... much more reactive out of the corners, and generally more lively-feeling (easier to manual/bunny hop, etc). Need decent volume tyres mind.

Hmmmm, only problem I have is a dodgy back, long rides on my Alpine get my back stiffening up.

don't sit down! stand up and use your legs as your rear suspension.

Oh I do that, got big wheels and tyres I can use of my Bullit too. Just don't want to miss out on riding on holiday cos me backs knackered! I'm very tempted though as I had be thinking about it and your pics have started to sway me again.
