My 29er has a shorter wheelbase than my full sus bike... Which I can get round the "tight hairpins on the Chase" alright thank you very much! 😉

Do 650B's count as big wheels, on average they're the same as a 69er just more balenced 😉

[img] [/img]

650B on the left 29er on the right!

GT Peace 9er. Initial ride was on Sunday. First impressions are favourable; it weighs a metric ton, but once it's going is very rapid!

petesgaff - Where did you get that bike? I've been looking for one, and failed.

tnmn - yeap, I've got one of those as well. Doesn't look like that any more. A bit more rigid and without the ISIS rubbish, or the brakes, or the stem, or the bars, or the saddle, opps, actually it only just resembles that picture to be truthful :O)

JRTG - riding one of those got me into HAVING to buy the other one. I still want a Root Beer one though. In 19.5'' please with Bonty carbons up front.

69er = 26'' wheel to the rear and 29'' wheel up front. Try it, you might like it!

What GF is it fontmoss? Sort of looks like a SS Superfly or is it a RIG?

If a Rig - how did you get it cos didn't GF stop bringing these in after 2008?

If it's a SS Superfly - how? Magic ratio? Or is there an ecentric BB? I know Fatcyclist got one last year but I assumed that was a special with him knowing LA etc.

Love the Niner and the Carbon forks but I'm afraid that almost £400 for rigid forks is just a little too rich for my blood. Even if I was on my old overpaid contract.

Still love the look of that Karate Monkey. Shame they are so much more than a 29er Inbred.

RevWill - 'Brand new' 2nd hand! Previous owner had ridden it once down his street! I think they stopped bringing them over in '08. It came from Epson Cycles; might be worth contacting them?

Wow...the price has gone up a lot since last year when I got mine. And who pays retail anyway? 😀 It's a great fork though!

petesgaff : Dammit, I was hoping someone was importing them. Though I wouldn't sniff at secondhand either. I'm looking for a rigid 29er ss for an enduro bike, but finding a bike I like within my absolute maximum £500 budget, ideally £400, isn't easy. There was some sale Kona Units which were perfect, but no 19" available.

Loving the Superfly, but I may be tempted when the Ti version of this comes out this year...
