Bit of a hijack:
I've got a budget kit, which Cutter sent with some sort of bonus circuitry board, so it's going to be a struggle to fit into the older Lumi Halogen can I'm using. Will have to file it down and go without much of a heat sink - unless anyone has any ideas??

I'll have a measure later and see if it will fit into the HID Housing.
You can always put the circuit board in the battery housing instead of the lamp head.
what are options for the heatsink?
Heatsink is pointless in a sealed container. Just make sure you get a good thermal connection to the casing (which will lose the heat to the environment)
I bought some ally bar off ebay i'll find the size later but it was about 0.1mm less than the internal size of the HID housing assembled using heattransfer paste and it works a treat.
Higgo is spot on. The key is getting the heat to the outside of the casing.
I also bought ally bar & made a heat transfer 'slug'
Not a Lumi housing but same principle, slug should be a tight fit in the housing & smeared with heat transfer compound - when assembled, the housing should get hot fairly quick if the heat is transfering well.
