Looking for a tubeless tyre that isnt too slow, less then 900g, very grippy, and decent sidewalls (and preferably doesnt wear too quickly).

Used conti mountain kings ust 2.2, but found they were a bit sketchy on the loose stuff. Apart from that, they were great. But I sort of lost confidence in them whenever it looked loose.

Planning on using this tyre all year round as well.

Should I look into High Rollers/Ignitors/Advantages? Or maybe Nobby Nics/(Fat)Alberts? Or maybe something different altogether?

Have you tried conti speed kings, If you like the mountain kings i'm sure you'll like these - they are the best allround tyre i've ever used anyways.

They look exactly the same as the mks, and I heard theyre prone to sidewall rips

I really like the Alberts over Advantages and Nics, they come with a proper reinforced sidewall in the snakeskin version. Fat is 2.35, Alpencross is 2.25 and little Albert at 2.1.

I'm rating my Conti Rubber Queen 2.2" at the moment, claimed 850g, massive profile (bigger than 2.35" HRoller) yet good roll, little resistance, and side-walls fail to rip (I managed to rip a Bonty Earl Wet in 3 places, so not soft on tyres.)

Rubber queens look good, but £50 for a tyre?...

Even cheaper than last time for me, I've just ordered another. Can't fault PBK.

Bigger then a 2.35? But the 2.2 mks were tiny, more like 1.9 or something. Do conti use different rulers for different tyres or something?

I know it sounds crazy, but genuinely about 3mm bigger profile than my 2.35" High Roller which is on the rear, both on Mavic EX823 Rim, I've heard people say the MKs come up tiny, but these do come up massive, guess Conti employ apes to measure their tyres!

i'm running maxxis rendez from the little riding i have done on them they seem real good fast rolling central part and the sides grip almost too much i might add, making skidding without a brake very difficult
