If the weather is ok and i can face the drive i might be a possible. Unlikely though in reality.
Ridden up there lately????
i'd prefer a nice bit of Cod
Is this with the Shipham mtb lot then? What route?
I could be there .Will you be varying route re conditions ?Knowing what the Quantocks have been like lately and they hold up better .Plus another huge amount of rain due Saturday afternoon .
Yes Nickegg, twice a week.
Not specifically clubber, just a bunch of us locals.
The route will be varied by weather and numbers.
and whim.
๐
I'll be out and there should be some more of the Shipham contingent along, hangovers / wives / parole officers permitting... ๐
I've only just seen this thread. I'll be there... ๐
You're not invited Chipps ๐
Ace! I'll have a lie in then. And you lot can head out in the rain... ๐
me plus one other planning to be there!
You going clubber?
Sadly probably not, KT...
I have a Saturday pass for the Qs and a Sunday pass for the Mendip (I haven't been brave enough to tell my legs yet) so I'll be there.
My usual Sunday riding buddy Rich may come..
Got a mellow route outlined yet Cando?
Ooh me and the missus may be able to cheat the relatives and make this ๐
Buzz - the route has been planned and mostly ridden this evening, it's not overly hard, a few ups, a few downs and a bit of across. But mainly covered in goo and filth.
Well that was fun! ๐ Apparently it was muddy?! Great to meet some new riders and cheers to David for organising.
It was a gas. Muddy smiles all round
Yeah the mr softie in me tried to win the day but i decided to mtfu .Glad i did excellent ride / weekend thanks one and all .
Cheers for a great weekend guys. Worth the five hours each way drive. Not sure if my bike/clothes/legs/washing machine will ever be the same though ๐
"Not sure if my washing machine will ever be the same"
Talk about wearing-out bike parts, wearing-out your washing machine with mud and grit induces further domestic misery. My usual trick is disrobe while standing in the bath, and shower the mud and grit out the clobber. Then chuck it in a bucket to transfer to the washing machine.
G'wan, box-up the Trek and send it back without washing it - dare ya!
At least Chipps didn't use up any new pads .They stayed nice n snug in his car ! ๐
I have a second washing machine in the garage for matrimonial harmony! 8)
Chipps, next time you should come down when it's really wet ๐
(My feet were still dry... +1 for cheapo duct tape!)
