First ride today, only a pootle as i've been ill all weekend.

First impressions - Phwoar!

- Bike fit computer set up thing is pretty damn good (it feels bang on for size and fit)
- Liking the campag clicky shifting
- The brake pads on my old road bike must have been crap
- Copmact is definetely more suited to me ๐Ÿ˜•
- The saddle might need swapping

Campagnolo 11 is sweet, i like it, but black saddle and white bar tape? surely a white saddle also for that 'pro' look ๐Ÿ˜‰

I've got a white Arione on my new ride, it's ace.

Nice though!

I'm thinking Brown suede San Marco Regal saddle with Brooks leather tape in a few weeks time.

Believe me, there's nothing pro looking about it with me on it. ๐Ÿ˜€

Any issue with seatpost fit? (looks from the pics like you've been playing with height)
I have a Lynskey, and love it to bits, but the only thing I'm not 100% about is it takes rather more force to get the 'post fully tightened than I'd like- its as if its slightly larger than the stated 31.6, and using a carbon post is out of the question. Creaks a bit too.

White saddle and hoods easily sorted get some Tipex.
That was Graeme Obree's explanation for having a white frame, can touch up the scratches with Tipex.

White bar tape looks awful after 30 seconds, black bar tape would be better IMO, coloured hoods look a bit naff too.

Not too keen on that very 'matt' finish.

If it's custom geometry, why the spacers on top of the stem, serious question.

Nice. Like that a lot. One day I will have a titanium frame. Unfortunately that day is a long way in the future ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

In the meantime, about that Trek 1.5. What size is the frame please ?

(apologies if you've put it on classifieds already, haven't got that far)

Blatant plug...

Will have a Litespeed Tuscany Ti frame (53cm) 2003 model for sale shortly. Just need to get the advert sorted.

Needs shifting and this advert has given me the appropriate kick up the b....

It's not a custom geometry, it's a Medium/Long. The spacers are there coz i've got a knackered wrist and want to see if it'll put up with the position or if i need to sit up a bit.

Saleem - not as much as you'd think.

Once the white tape has 'soiled up' too much it'll be replaced with brown Brooks leather and the seat will be brown suede san marco regal.

The Treks a 56cm and will be making an appearance in the classifieds shortly. ๐Ÿ™‚

@rse. Probably too small for me then (6ft2). Oh well, I'm sure it'll go to a good home.

Aah, apologies, I thought from your comment it was custom. Quite a long headtube on there.

Headtube reasonably long, but got a 70mm drop to bars so cant be too bad.

The bike fit computer jobbie in the shop came up with this set up, although it should be even longer. 5'10" with Gorilla arms and short legs, if i had a frame built it would need to be a 54 seattube married to a 58 toptube. Compromised with a 120mm stem on a ML frame.

Worth hitting 40 for? Nah!, give me 25, a fixed wrist and a bmx anyday. ๐Ÿ˜›

Nothing much doing this weekend, but might need to be down here for baby sitting duties. Maybe able to sneak in a ride on or off road.
