On full compression the seatstay brace was hitting the seat tubing only slighlty, only noticable if bottoming out. colour is polished silver with blue rocker

The 2010 Pitch (Full bike) is quite an eye-opener after the current, slightly XC-specced model – Double and bash, bigger wider rims, chain guard, flat pedals. As a Pitch should be IMO.

That looks nice. If it's different to the Pitch Comp and Pro on the website, does that mean they'll be doing a frame only this year?

They replaced the frame because of that? Wow. Mines done the same thing a few times and now has a slight dent in the seatstay brace due to it but I never considered it might be a warranty job.
Did you mean that yours suffered some structural damage as a result of the bottoming?

@ delusional, specialized are aware of this problem i believe, it has been posted on another forum some time ago. Take your bike back to spec dealer they will change your frame 😉
ohh and no mine did not have structual damage, just a very small dent on both brace an tube

@deertrackdoctor, sorry no pics of old frame, wasn't damaged tbh but made a hell of a noise when bottomed out 😯
Was just a small dent on both seat tube and seatstay brace

😀 Had to change doors as well, as the holes for handles were in a diff place, things you gotta do.
