Since the forum revamp no pics are showing on any posts when I use my iPhone,
Any ideas why? They did before the change

I had this on my iPhone too. I opened a thread and saw the picture on it for a millisecond before it disappeared.

+1 – really annoying when I went to view the friday fresh goods page, pictures appear as the page opens, then everyone of them except the first, goes into a grey blank. Happens on all the thread’s too, except no blank even appears.
Cleared my cache & history, & hard reset the phone, it’s still happening. Fricken annoying.

I went back to a thread a couple of days ago that I posted a pic on and it won’t show now, it did then though so I think the revamp has caused it somehow

Must be a feature exclusive to smug apple users…

Definatly only on here, tried mtbr and bikeradar and southern d/h and they all work fine

I’ve lost pictures in posts too. on Android , but only 2.1 when using opera mini . works fine with standard browser

Same problem on my iPad.

Works fine on 3GS running iOS4.1

I think the idea is that pics appear “just in time” when you scroll to a bit where the picture is.
I guess this may be to either save bandwidth, let the thread load quicker, or both.

It works ABSOLUTELY FINE on my iPhone 4 with just a very brief but noticeable (sub half-second) delay before the pic starts to appear. It does exactly the same thing on Firefox on the desktop.

I guess it may take slightly longer if you are on a shonky GPRS connection and/or have an older/slower phone.

iPhone 4 here with no problems at all.

I am getting the greyed out thing that GrahamS describes on the desktop though if I scroll really quickly as soon as the thread opens.

Fine and dandy on my 3GS.

Same problem on my iPad. Using wifi too, so no issues with images downloading. Actually like one of the posters above I can see the images for a split second before they disappear. On the front page I can see the first 2 images OK… But all others are grey boxes. hmmmm….

iPod touch here. Can see pics using Safari. Cannot see pics using Opera mini. Shame as Opera is generally lots better.
