    Shimano are the way ahead. Deore or higher all recommended

    someone will say don't use Hope, but I've used them for years with no problems

    Shimano, end of thread.

    i wouldnt even consider using anything else.
    they stay smooth for ages, all the others ive used get very hard to use as the bush wears out on them.

    Yep, Shimano here. Avoid the DT Swiss RWS unless you never remove your rear wheel – the plastic-resin splines strip far too easily and don't appear to be available as spares. Shame as otherwise they're a nice idea.
