I need a rear wheel quick release
What works and what should I avoid?
Cheers
Ken
Shimano are the way ahead. Deore or higher all recommended
all of them work, but avoid overtightening
someone will say don't use Hope, but I've used them for years with no problems
Shimano are good
X-lite are rubbish
for me, shimano but have also used salsa in the past with no problems
Shimano
xt or xtr - no point mucking around with crappy lightweight skewers...
Salsa here but really fancy some XTR.....
Shimano, end of thread.
i wouldnt even consider using anything else.
they stay smooth for ages, all the others ive used get very hard to use as the bush wears out on them.
Shimano. Everything else is inferior.
Shimano XT.
Absolutely nothing wrong with Shimano skewers. 😉
Yep, Shimano here. Avoid the DT Swiss RWS unless you never remove your rear wheel - the plastic-resin splines strip far too easily and don't appear to be available as spares. Shame as otherwise they're a nice idea.
