I have an empty day on Sunday, but am struggling with inspiration for a days riding.

So over to you lot... all suggestions considered. CBA with more than 2 hours driving (each way)from Bolton, so a pretty big catchment area. Looking for about 30 miles.

Cheers all.

Lakes, Peaks, North Wales, Cannock, Yorkshire Dales, Howgills.
There must be somewhere in that lot you haven't ridden/want to ride?

you could show me and binners the 3 towers route. Or you could join us in calderdale for a ride. Might not be 30 miles, mind

binners has a good suggestion, Park in Conwy and ride up the north Wales path and then onto drum via the YH at Rowen.

only been to the bottom of it (Drum that is) but that ride is great.

Piccie form the top behind Conwy mountain.

Paul pointing out Drum

With the new bit on the end of the M56 through Queensferry it takes 1hr and 15mins from mine to the mother-in laws van at Conwy.

Got a GPX if you want it.

I was thinking Dunnerdale Definitive, but that's perhaps a bit outside your radius...

Drum .... superb views of Snowdonia /Ynys Mon (Anglessey), sea and close.

The fact I have a wheel you coude collect on the way fron Denbighshire in no way affected my opinion.

It'll be covered in coastal clag ๐Ÿ˜‰

Hope it isn't! You could always lead the Long Mynd route as a STW North West/West Midlands chapter ride..?

Cheers
Paul

Dave, couple of quick q's.

Whats the parking like in Conwy at the start of your route ?

Was thinking around here. Anything there ?

Some of the route looks a bit cheeky on my MM... whats the crack round there, ok or a big no no ?

Ta mate.

Drum mountain route from Conwy is now established as one of my all time classic routes.

Just awesome. Clocked my fastest ever off road speed too... 50mph coming off Drum.

Pics when fotopic starts working.
