    Nice. Is it a 29er?

Shame they never have anything to stop the LH dropout sliding back (have seen it happen, albeit rarely).

EDIT and I thought racing at SSUK was GAY?

Going to build it up with a Reba first.
But I have this which might find it's way on there at some point*.

I looked at them but could not get over the agricultural dropouts. Someone should use the SC jackel dropouts on a normal bike.

I like the dropout system. Love the colour. Not so keen on the 29er idea. Post some built pics and i may change my mind 😀

Salsa have just released a fatbike too 😮 called the Mukluk,
lots of bottle mounts to match there enabler fork, and very clever rear end supposedly which allows fitment of either inline and offset wheels using spacers…inline allows stronger 29er wheels, offset allows hub gears,

That is a lovely thing! I'm in two minds on the dropouts but the rest of it looks 'right'. Looks like I'm going to have to look at the Salsa site and see what proper 26" geared frames they do

    coastkid.

I was looking at that the other night.

I think there might just about be room to squeeze one into my garage. 😉

Built up pics in a bit.

Coastkid have you ever posted/blogged about riding your Pugsley?

I.e. how it compares to a normal bike on normal rides, pros/cons etc? Just curious like, it looks like it could add to one's riding, but also be pretty redundant unless you made the effort to use it.

Make sure you copter tape up the chainstays. Her wire wool leg hair will soon whip that paint job off 😉 (off to pack cricket box for ssuk) 😯

cynical-al, all you want to know about the pugsley here 😮
started a blog when i bought it,search through the labels…
heres a pugsley complimation film i made a few months back,
it does open up a whole new riding area, bit like that first mtb, seeing just where you can go,have said before there not very good on sticky mud like clay but peat ground like the cheviots, pentlands its great,is a bit more effort climbing but keeps you fit!, i bought it for the beaches here in east lothian and love it,the new salsa Mukluk looks like it will be real good, fatbikes are getting real big in the USA,alot of intrest, esp with inline wheeled frames allowing 29er wheel swaps,

    futon.

You still trying to sell that Endo tyre? If it was you that was trying to sell one? You Jones riders all look the same to me.

No not me – maybe when I can get a Larry.

That Mukluk has got me excited! Trouble is – the difference speed having just one fat tyre is noticeable – two fat tyres might be too much? Only one way to find out though 😉 I'll have to sell my (unused for 8 months) full susser.

So any feedback Stu on how it rides etc etc

I know Salsa reported it was 25 % more heavey than the previous model but was gonna be heaps stronger , any thoughts ?

Could this frame be used as a CX one? Might be getting a frame to commute on, but drops are a must. It's so much prettier than a Crosscheck, hmmm….
