I have no idea what made me put marmalade on my corned beef sandwich but I'll be doing it again.

    Yummy.

The caterers who do sandwiches at our work place for meetings sometimes throw Brie & Mango into the mix.

    It works suprisingly well….!

Marmalade, ham & good strong chedder is lovely, not tried beef though.

My wife used to have a boss who if he was stuck with what to add to any meal during the cooking stage would almost always add marmalade.

Any shock ones as marmalade makes a great glaze for ham so will work with beef and can't see what the shock is about cheese and fruit working.

I have been rocking this combo for a few years… found it when making a few rounds of toast, spread the marmite, then on the 2nd bit went for the honey, licked the knife… and discovered paradise.

My friend was telling me about her fave marmote combo sandwich, and I thought it was an odd combination but though hey I'll give it a go………Next time I saw her I was telling her how I was not cconvinced byt her Marmite and Marmalade sandwich to which she replied "well no wonder, I actaully said marmite and cucumber" I have no idea where I got the marmalade bit from!!!!

Anyway – marmite with cheese 😀

Never thought I'd ever try the classic Peanut Butter and Jam. Then I did. What a revelation. Still can't work out if Peanut Butter is sweet or savoury.

Cheese and beetroot good too, but not that experimental.

It's unlikely that I'll experience a Katy Perry & Fearne Cotton sandwich, but I'm quite prepared to give it a go…….

Back in the real world, a hot Christmas pudding and stilton sandwich was the result of a drunken experiment, and was actually pretty good.

Just reading a book where someone's having marmalade, cheese and avocado on toast. Sounds intriguing, but I'm not sure I'm intrigued enough to actually try it…

Mr Overshoot! That is one of the nicest sandwiches available.

Home made brown bread served with brown sugar.

Someone on an old thread recommended banana and marmite…. also nice.

Marmite and cheese is a classic.

Peanut butter, nutella and/or jam (maybe not that weird?). Can't have it more than once every few months though, feels too bad to have it more often.

It's unlikely that I'll experience a Katy Perry & Fearne Cotton sandwich, but I'm quite prepared to give it a go…….

This one sounds good to me!

I mentioned this in the other file but, Marmite and ketchup. Classy, me.

Never thought I'd ever try the classic Peanut Butter and Jam.

I never 'got' this either, until I had one in the US and discovered I was Doing It Wrong.

For a classic PB&J, first you need to realise that the ratio isn't 1:1. You need a good, thick layer of PB and the 'jam' waving at it.

Second, they don't use jam, it's what they call "jelly" and is way thinnner and runnier than our jam. I ask for a jar of Smucker's jelly when people go on holiday; the closest I've found over here is the stuff that comes in squeezy bottles. Selfridges sell Smuckers, but they only do grape flavour which I've never had the courage to try (-: They also sell Jif peanut butter, which is the holy grail of PB&J peanut butter.

In my student days – stir frying left over lasagna as a breakfast sandwich filling.

More recently ham, gruyere, banana and creme freiche fried eggybread sandwiches. So good I usually end up eating it standing in front of the cooker straight out of the pan.
