I was considering getting mine powder coated but I think I'm gonna keep it white with white forks and then add colours with components.

Quite like that green, Teetosugars.

I love Hecklers & want one myself - someone please tell me the differences between the older & newer frames, I see the back end is more curvy now.

Yeah and the new, new, ones have no gussets on the frames (I think).

Has the "New" one still got those daft bottle mounts on the underside?

Yeah, new one has the bottle mounts. Always thought it could be a weak spot. Mine did last 7 years though!

Mine's going on 6yrs-old now (with me being the 2nd owner). When it comes time to replace it, I'll probably get a new Heckler.

Cooie, yes it is. It was second hand and lasted for 3 years of guiding every day before it died. He got another one to replace it. In grey. It was ugly++. Sorry Jonny!

Apparently its a common place for them to fail. I reckon it is forces from the swingarm rather than the presence of bottle holes. But then i'm not an engineer or metallurgist.

What's the general consensus with regards to riser height and bar width on these bad boys?

Depends on the riders preference rather than the frame. I liked 685mm bars and no spacers for whatever that is worth.
