Isn't it wonderful that you can go into a cafe or loo at a trail centre and not have to lock your bike up. Just goes to show that "society" isn't as screwed up as many would have us believe.
Ever been to Afan ?
I can only see three or four possible reasons.
1. you go to trail centres as part of a group so someone is available to watch the bikes
2. There are lots of bikes, so the chance of yours being stolen are reduced
3. Everyone who goes to the trail center alreadty has a car full of bikes.
4. You can't get to trail centres by bus/they're not in the suburbs so bike twocking chav's can't get there.
It doesn't restore my faith in human nature really, all we've done is use geography to create a middle class playground.
Not been to llandegla at a weekend either then?

Second that, you can only get to trail centers in an Audi.

There's a bus stop in the car park Coed Y.
Aye, our trip today required no locks and bikes lefet EVERYWHERE - one place was even lending out new bikes with no need for a deposit or ID....
Do not try this at Cwm Carn.

I see a pattern emerging
Racist 😆
My roadie club leaves £1000's worth of bikes outside when we have a cafe stop. No problem
Sorry DruidH, big lock every time for me, way to many bikes getting stolen, mine walked 50 feet to the edge of the car park, obviously waiting to be picked up as they drive past, luckily came out of the Cafe and after 20 seconds of panic spotted it leaning against the wall by the edge of the car park. Ass holes , I've been followed a couple of times also.

Just out of interest, where is this?
Postcodes, map references, visiting times will do.

You could do that just about everywhere without your bike being pinched, the chances are fairly slim for very short pauses, and of course a bit lower in a place where others will have more expensive bikes and hundreds of them around yours.
I think it's a case of a false sense of security really, I never leave my bikes ANYWHERE unlocked.
This a troll?
Youve got to be mad to leave a bike unlocked/unattended.
Especially at a Welsh trail centre.
Didn't they have a Nomad nicked from outside the Hub at Glentress in the middle of a busy saturday afternoon a couple of years ago? Guy cut the cable and walked off with it, nobody batted an eyelid.
ffs imho ime bollocks yawn
Someone walked into a well known n.wales trail centre, picked up a very expensive carbon xc bike off the stand, walked out with it and rode off up the trails. It was only noticed because he rode the wrong way up the trail!
Only 2 explanations for this thread
1) Its a pisstake and hes had his bike lifted from a trail centre whilst 'dropping the kids off'
2) He rides an Apollo Creed
I'm scared to leave my car unattended at Cwmcarn or Afan let alone my bike.
