This wednesday we will be trundling along the canal to the Bridge Inn at Ratho for a few drinks for Colin.

He is leaving the shoppe to enjoy his early retirement that he never actually started properly (lucky git).

So, KP's, McCoys and IPA for wednesday supper!

Hybrids, tourers and commuters welcome. No need for any tyre below 50psi. We will leave the shop just after 6ish and head up to FtnBridge basin and ride from there.

I may even buy a round... maybe.

I might pop in for one either before or after I've been climbing, depends how late out of work I am.

Steady on old chap, that's just not Scottish! ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

I know, I know...

Racist.

๐Ÿ™

Good luck in your retirement Colin, and remember; Onions never die, they just get dried up and shrivelled and sometimes a bit mouldy.

Having been a loyal customer and holding druid in high esteem ever since I saw he needed 5" of travel in the Pentlands, I'd love to be going, but I'm busy ๐Ÿ˜›

How long are you all planning on staying at the pub? I'm tting in kirliston at 7pm but would love a pint or two afterwards and it's not too much of a detour.

that's optimistic PG. By the time we leave and get up the road it's more likely to be around 645

Shall we say Basin at 645 and viaduct 650?

Sad to say I can't attend - haven't had a drink for so long I'd just make a [s]specimen[/s] [s]sacrifice[/s] spectacle of myself anyway... Someone please take a go-pro along ๐Ÿ˜€

(Hope to watch the MAMILs disappearing before my very eyes sometime this year though...)

I'll be along at the pub later then, although haven't quite worked out how best to wobble home afterwards.

Ride back with TJ on your right so he goes in the drink before you to break your fall. Sorted.
