  • Weekly photo challenge. 22.8.11 – 28.8.11 – Speed and camouflage
  • Another cryptic one this week, Speed or Camouflage.

    The rules;
    1. Take a photo of your bike with something that matches the theme in the picture.
    2. Interpret the theme any way you like.
    3. Pictures should be taken between the dates in the topic title.
    4. If you post a picture you can either suggest a theme for next weeks challenge or vote for someone else’s suggestion. First suggestion to get two supporting votes becomes next weeks theme, probably.

    Hmm, my interpretation >>

    😈 …

Is it me, or are the rules too complicated ?

If the above is what you’re referring to, then I do apologise; couldn’t resist 😉

My contribution will come tomorrow after work 😀

    Camouflage FAIL !

The blue bottle/saddlebag clearly allow you to see the bike 🙂

Yeah, you should have parked it nearer the Ford sign.

Lots of Speed going on here this weekend,

    Involving some of these,

    Stealth Cammo Bike 😉

Two for the price of one.

That’s a footpath across the spoil tip between the golf course and athletics centre.
It looks quiet, but as I ride along it there’s always birds suddenly flying up out of the undergrowth in front of me. If they kept still I wouldn’t even know they were there.
On the right is the cycle track. It’s used for racing, although I more often see kids under adult supervision using it as a traffic free training area.

I want to do Tourist Attractions as a theme soon.
Either next week while it’s still school holidays, or the week after to coincide with Heritage Open Days

    Yeah I know, different hoses etc … (M4 front, HS33 rear) 😉
I’m camouflaging my relative lack of speed with a slow shutter / low light thing going on.

Later that ride, I found this battered ole’ shell on the side of a fast main road, halfway down a hill where it is possible to whip up a fair turn of speed (or it was before the horror of spray tarmac & big chippings that passes for a road-repair these days was applied). Almost certainly nothing more to it that a ‘helmet falls off a cycle-carrier’ type of (non)story tho’ …

Speed on a gate post. by Bazzaphotos, on Flickr

Didn’t quite manage the camouflage, must win with this speed shot. Hung on the gatepost and spun!
Next week – I’ll go with tourist attractions. Cheers.
