  • Weekly photo challenge. 2.5.11 – 8.5.11 – Cheeky Urban Trails
  • Cheeky Urban Trails this week.
Bonus points if there’s a “No Cycling” sign in there somewhere or an irate PCSO hopelessly chasing after you. 😀

Can we have a few suggestions during the week as well, rather than leaving it to the last minute.

    The rules;
    1. Take a photo of your bike with something that matches the theme in the background.
    2. Interpret the theme any way you like.
    3. Pictures should be taken between the dates in the topic title.
    4. If you post a picture you can either suggest a theme for next weeks challenge or vote for someone else’s suggestion. First suggestion to get two supporting votes becomes next weeks theme, probably

this one doesn’t really count as it was taken a few eeks ago, but it’s urban and i thought maybe “steps” would be a good future theme?

Surely, ever week’s challenge includes the opportunity for a noble, distinguished-looking beard?

    😉

Suggestions for next time then …

Maybe something like historic buildings / fortified manor houses / castles ?
    Or, bridges?

Cambridge Guided Busway, so partly urban, not strictly cheeky as the ***** thing still isn’t open.

I for one have beard envy and congratulate you, OCB, on a very good beard. I’m 32 tomorrow and am sure most 13 year old boys have more facial hair than me. I still only shave once a week. I am a poor example of a man.

@crocodilian – I used to be like that then, when I turned 40, I discovered that the hairs had been hiding in my nose and ears for an opportunity to sprout in an inconvenient manner. I’m currently trying to develop a commercial use for nasal hair – then I can make millions!

Not sure to be honest, the steps are from collage green down to millennium square.

That looks a bit rural for an urban trail, Stu. 😉

    So, next week then.
I like the idea of steps. Those who have already posted a picture of them, find some different ones for next week.
I liked last week’s suggestion of follies as well, although I don’t think they are common enough for a theme on their own, so how about having two themes for one week.
Wasn’t there a suggestion a few weeks ago for building that are not what they seem; mobile phone masts disguised as trees, concrete cows and the like ? Another hard to find subject, so why not lump it in with follies ?

So, that’s steps & follies, including buildings that are not what they seem.
    OK with everyone else ?

It’s within 100 yards of a housing estate so in my book its urban. 8)

Most of the stuff I shot today just looked like I was riding on peoples drives / gardens …

    😕

^ Absolute rubbish that it is, that’s about the best of it from today (and not much beard on show ‘neither 😉 – Thanks for the endorsement up the page too).
