I just realised it's Friday and I haven't posted this week's challenge yet.
Oh well, nobody seemed to miss it. ๐Ÿ™
There's still the weekend to go though, so it's bridleways this week.

Try to get a photo of your bike not just on a bridleway, but with a bridleway signpost or horse in the picture.

The rules;
1. Take a photo of your bike with something that matches the theme in the picture.
2. Interpret the theme any way you like.
3. Pictures should be taken between the dates in the topic title.
4. If you post a picture you can either suggest a theme for next weeks challenge or vote for someone else's suggestion. First suggestion to get two supporting votes becomes next weeks theme, probably

Eh? - Did I not see there was a 'Through the frame' theme to this weeks challenge?

I missed the roadworks one through an injury and not riding that week, but have I missed another week as well, (or did I imagine the whole 'through the frame' thing)?

Luckily (?) there are more horses than people hereabouts, so 2 minutes up the road and back'd have produced a horse/bicycle shot if I'd gone for the frame thing.

Been out tonight on lots of bridleways but not a single sign appears in my photo's - working the rest of the weekend so I'm just going to have to cheat ๐Ÿ˜ณ

[img] [/img]

The sign is just to the right of the guy on the right - had to zoom in to keep my shadow out of the picture - fabulous evening to be out.
Or maybe this will do - my daughter on her horse on Thursday night

Following where the bike is pointing, leads down here:
[img] [/img]
Further on, I did manage to find about 200mtrs of open track to ride.
[img] [/img]

I hope the umbellifers in the lanes were just cow-parsley, angelica, wild carrot and the like, and not hemlock or hogweed, or my suggestion for next week will be 'Effects of toxins from plant juices'. I'd best be staying out of the sun today I think.

Didn't take any pony / pony-girl ( ๐Ÿ˜‰ ) pictures tho' ...

Here in little old 'NZ' we don't have a tradition of bridleways so I just had to drop by the local pony club ground today. Alas, no horses!

I vote for rickety bridges for next week.
Cheers.

Sorry to ask, but just how do I get to insert an image so that it shows as an image not the URL. Cheers. Bazza.

Quick test for eclecticnz.
[img] [/img]

OK you got the right URL, you just need to add at the end.

Well, we'll have no chance next week, if a NZ local gunna post rickerty bridges in - saw some desperate ones built by farmers for there live stock over there (I wouldn't even test them, let along let 200+ sheep trampling across).

As an homage to the Spring Classics, I have taken to riding my road bike on cobbles, gravel roads, farm roads recently. So on the way back from training I popped down this suitable bridleway...

And then I spotted these!

I know this post is a day late but the thread's only 3 days old ๐Ÿ˜‰
