What (cheap) equiv' of Shim' Chainset Tool TL-UN96? Changing Middleburn spider.

Like this one:
As it seems awful expensive at c.£35.
Need to change the spider on a Middleburn RS7 chainset from a double to triple.
Alternatively I may have to resort to a friendly bike mechanic and the infamous “pack of biscuits” technique.
