Think Mark said next week.
Responsible group rides of course, trails are still a bit messy... ๐Ÿ˜€

i was making sure we were not doing any damage/plus remember that day i broke my radius end into several pieces 8 weeks ago?

It is still a bit variable up there. With the girls going up and our 8-22 possible riders we need to be careful.

Perhaps a road and mtb contingent to lighten the load?

Great picture!

It was super wet on Sunday, so wet my bike was actually cleaner than when I left the house from the surface water spraying, which is a shame as it was super dry the weekend before and almost like 'summer'.

I'm still scared of meeting some of you lot ๐Ÿ˜ฏ but might join an off-road ride if I can get out of work on time and its not pouring down wi rain.

Would the road rides be during the week or weekends only or on the same day as the evening rides?

Road is where it's at these days. 8) I'm up for some road rides, depending on times.

I've sort of resorted to some longish CX sprints on the low down bits of trail. Not very sociable though, basically a prolonged thrash as fast as possible on a 40x18 gear.

Will perfect the route at the weekend and put an invite out to anyone preferring 'fast'(ish) to proper hills.

Jimmy, where do those pictures come from?? I loved the singlespeed one

How about a CX style ride that involves pub stops?

If anyone wants a wee road jaunt, I'll be setting off from Balerno Church Hall at 10:30 this coming Saturday with a couple of other riders. We'll be doing this route:
http://www.thebikechain.co.uk/Road-Route-2-Col-du-Climpy/
Planning to complete it in around 3.5 hrs (plus any time we spend at the Apple Bie bakery in Carnwath).

The east lothian version - dunno about pubs and the logistics are trickier. Need to persuade GW and / Or Coastkid to show us all the good bits / pubs I missed

Its also near enough 40 miles round trip from Edinburgh centre although trains can take 10 miles off that

Naw mate, IKEA, Tesco, Asda, and Morrisons etc are a bit shit. Biking is not.

How about a loop involving Cramond Brig to Kirkliston up the River Almond path, then over to STH QF then back through the Dalmeny Estate? Couple of pub stops available there and some decent if not challenging single track.

We have TBC Summer Cruises sponsored by Samuel Smith.
It involves a short trundle to Cramond Inn. Beer. More beer. Frazzels. Sitting in the sun. Going home happy.

I've met most of the usuals (I think) and I'm still scared!

Only joking. All are welcome.

I'm up for most anything - GT (can drive), CX, pubs - anything except road. The missus wont allow it!

Tuesday = Road club
Wednesday = MTB Club

Either may choose by majority vote, whether to do a booze cruise.

I'm feeling quite ashamed at not having done much night MTB riding so if anyone fancies a low level Pentlands excursion next Wednesday.

Was up the Pentlands today, the low all weather trails were fine. Took a spin up harbour hill and then Scalextrics but it was a bit soggy an not at all flowey. Still some small patches of snow up there too melting away. Not quite summer up there yet.

TJ's EL loop looks good, time/light permitting. Or a we trip to GT/Inners.

Depends where. I'm on call so have to stay close to home. I might just be sticking to laps of the Seat.
