Ideally needs to be a good all round winter tyre (if there is such a thing!) which can handle mud, roots and chalky stuff.

    Ta in advance.

don't ride on chalk, but i like the Bonty ACX's as a good winter all rounder

Mud X are the way to go. I have some spares if you like.

Sam, what's the deal with the spares then?

I'm hoping Michelin XC all terrains will do me ok. They're a bit more agressive than my summer Crossmarks…

Brand new – still on header card – £20 each.

I used the Michelin on the rear for a bit. Good paddle steamer paddle type pattern which hooks up well in the soft mud.

Kenda Klaw (F&R) worked a bit better in my loamy, tacky, and clay terrain

Like the Mud-X up front too, as well as the Stout for ultimate mud, but that is slow going due to weight

Sam, sounds good. Are they 2.0?
