This is a real FAQ! Anyway, I just took delivery of a slightly tatty Kaffenback. Thanks to Rich James who sold it to me and sent it pronto!

I've phoned Hendersons who quoted £60 and 2 weeks for a blast and recoat (powder or pack says their web site). I'm sure it's a quality service, but that would double the price of the frame!

Can anyone recommend a blast&paint, pref slightly cheaper?

Cheers, al.

APC glasgow would be half that but then the expense of two trips to glasgow would make it the same again.
there's a place in Haddington near roodlands that'd do it but they can't strip it for you. is it steel or alloy?

Post up on Descent World there's an Edinburgh based firm that everyone on there uses.

Or phone Pentland Precision ( behind Costco) who have metal fab, powder coat facility and alloy wheel refurb offshoots

if you mean BBS, they'll probably be even dearer.

Not that far north, but there is a Speialised Coatings in Halifax do a cracking job for £40, and with a 4 day turn around.

thanks all. It's a steel frame. I think that makes it easier? I'm dead near Haddington so i'll check that out.
Cheers, al.

Doh!

Been a while since I've managed a double post.

Allan, let us know if you get somewhere. I've a frame or two which could do with some tlc!
