What a stunning looking vegetable! I am 42 and saw one for the first time last night in our newly refurbished Morrison's.

We call it "trippy broccoli", it seems a shame to chop it up but it is very good.

*spits tea* Pfffftt.. Hoooooooowwwwmuch??

We only had one because it was in our veg box and I think that is a bit extravagant at less than a tenner for home delivery of a small box of 8 organic veg.

Got some for christmas, tasted much like normal brocolli, but a bit "creamier".
Love the patterns on it. Can you imagine serving that up to potheads? They'd just be sat there staring at it for hours!

The 'B' in 'Benoît B. Mandelbrot' stands for 'Benoît B. Mandelbrot'

or it stands for 'Broccolli'

I forget which.

Does that offend your middle class sensibilities? That organic veg box (working class edition) must look good value this week!

Maybe its Hausdorff dimension is 2.99 so the geeks at Morrisons had to set the price accordingly.

[I'll get my lab coat... the one with the pens in the top pocket and the strange stains]

EDIT - Blimey - it turns out that ordinary Broccoli's Hausdorff dimension is 2.66, so not that for off.

No at all, it offends my "paying a reasonable price for a vegetable" sensibilities.

That organic veg box (working class edition) must look good value this week!

That was kind of my point: our terribly middle-class locally-sourced home-delivered eco-friendly organic FairTrade knitted-tofu veg box is already pretty expensive, but still cheap in comparison.

I really don't know why the Morrsion's buyers have made the decision to stock this. The store in question is in Salford where this:

is considered fresh veg!
