I'm dribbling big time here due to the Cakes and Buns thread. 😳

And now cheesecake has been mentioned and it's sold in a bakery in ... Billericay! Bit of a long way for me, as well as Essex being potentially a terrifying experience. 😉

So ... anywhere in the Thames Valley that sells cheesecake? Forget dinner, cake is what matters.

As always, thank you so much. 🙂

Yes yes yes! But there is no cheese involved. Coconut is where it's at.

It's not cakey, and it contains no cheese,
Its gods way of saying you don't deserve cake.....

Here we are, told you I'm becoming obsessed!

Edit: apparently it's known as London Cheesecake and sold in Greggs, presumably London Town branches only?

Guys - obviously only us sophisticated London types can appreciate London cheesecake. 😉

As for you allthepies! Thought you might have known but guess you prefer savoury pies. 🙂

If your going to get regional cake that's not actually cake, at least a Manchester tart tastes nice
Pastry, jam, custard, topped with coconut, delicious!

It's not all in that London you know 😉 you can't beat a Manchester tart!

I'm having flashbacks to my youth. I can remember getting them from the local bakery. I didn't think they were called cheesecakes but I could be wrong.

At the time I thought they were great. Now I think I would prefer one of those portuguese custard tarts. They are yummy.

Those Portuguese thingys look lush
I had some of these in a little curry house in a back street in Manchester once and they were very nice, little sponge sausagey things soaked in syrup, served warm with cream

London Cheesecakes, mmmmmm, bloody lovely. Not exclusive to London, get em all over Essex.
My local bakery does some great ones that knock those Greggs ones off the shelf. Want some posted?! 😆
