Heres my new bike. In buying this I have broken my only new years resolution (not to buy a bike outside the cycle to work scheme this year) but it's kind of paid for itself by selling stuff so I'm not losing sleep over it!

The frame was meant to arrive with a choice of decals but didn't so CRC are chasing that up. In the mean time I'll have to put up with it looking more Girls Aloud than Black Sabbath!

Spec:

Evil Sovereign large
Pushed air Pike 454's
Pro 2's on Stans Flows with Maxxis Ardent 2.4 front and rear
Saint brakes, chainset, rear mech
SLX shifter
XTR cassette
E13 LG1+ guide
Straitline pedals and stem
Burgtec bar
Hope headset
Intense lock ons (with flange, woo!)
SDG I-beam post, I-beam bel air seat

Only taken it for a pootle round the block to test the gears and bed the brakes in and it feels alright for what its worth. I might put the tires on my FS and put some dual ply Big Bettys on for hooliganism. I forgot to weigh it since I put the cable, mech and chain on but it was 29lbs prior so I'm guessing 30lbs ish? Not that it really matters...

Oh my.

I've got a dream build list pinned up in front of me and it's almost exactly what you've listed there.

I've got the frame and some Vanillas but that is the extent of it. I reckon I can get away with just buying a front wheel and nicking everything else from my decrepit old XC machine though. Time will tell.
That's really lovely though.

im 6ft. was torn between the medium and large but went for the large so i could run the short stem and inline post, theres only half an inch in the top tube between sizes.

the seat is pretty low there, not sure if that accounts for some of the big look?

There is some horrors shown on here and about a gazillion On Ones and 29ers. But that is lush. I like. A lot.

update:

now with coil lyriks, penthouse flats and a dual ply big betty out back.
rides surprisingly well at 160mm on the along stuff, obviously a hoot on the downs. pooks peak pootle was a good bedding in ride i reckon

Looks nice, a bit slacker now without them Pikes?

how is the mission control damping on the Lyriks compared to those Pushed pikes?

a few more piccies would be nice.

Looks superb in black

yeah a bit slacker but it wasnt mega slack with the pikes, about 68 HA so more like 66.5 with the lyriks. pretty similar to my 5 really.

i like the mission control so far but ive only had one ride on it. cos im at the, ahem, upper limit of the standard spring i put quite a lot of low speed compression damping on, middle high speed and about 2/3rds rebound damping. felt good!

i need to get some pics 'in the wild' i reckon

You seem to have got a bit over excited about the bike in that kast pic.
Nice build though, it's crying out for a lairy Race Face Atlas bar though.

i still reckon you could do with a double up front.......means you wouldnt have had to push so much on the Peaks Pootle!
