Hi, My rear wheel has loads of 'play'. Had a look at the hub, its a no name, 32h / 9sp. It does not seem to have any way of taking it apart. Theres a small grub screw on the rh side near the axle.
Any help would be appreciated.......... Thanks
theres a grub screw (2mm i think) on each side left and right,un do both of these this will allow the dust covers to be removed.once this is done, with a rubber mallet or normal hammer and block of wood, hit the drive side of the axle and this should pop out the non drive side bearing and allow the axle to be removed.then you will need a mother of an allen key (10mm)on a long bar there is a allen key bolt holding the free hub body on un do this and this will allow the free hub to be removed.
ive just stripped my one down, the paws were very sticky and the bearing in the free hub it self was very worn also the non drive side bearing was shot on mine the bearing is 6001-2RS (same as a hope as far as i am aware)as for the free hub bearing might be able to pop it out but may need a free hub from speshy.
this applys if its this hub.
