I remember the post from a couple of weeks ago about chaning the bearings on a Shimano HT-II BB, were the bearings 6508's?
Can you do the same on a Race Face X-Type as mines poorly

yes they are identical bearings. They are 6805 not 6508.
One previous thread with all the info is here, I have both shimano and RF X type and have bought a job lot of the same bearings to do both.
