Tried the lights and there is some vibration/shake causing a strobe effect on rough terrain? Just wonder if there are any solutions people have come up with to solve this. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

Had a quick look and could not find the thread. Any further suggestions? Thanks

Search for "magicshine clamp" HTH and cycling on the road that's perverse 😉

Insulation tape and zip ties. My bodge of choice for most bike related issues.

I have this problem too....

it's not just strobe/wobble you need to be careful of... there is a single small screw holding the light onto its plastic bracket which loves to jump out mid ride.

I have been hoping someone could suggest a "surrogate" bracket which would fit the light and be a lot more sturdy?

or can I get a new bracket fabricated by any kind tinkers on here?

Ax3M4n - go through the magicshine threads, a surrogate bracket has been suggested in the form of a partial Electron bracket from chain reaction.

The bottom of page 90 of this thread has a good idea that I based my fix on:
http://www.bikeradar.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=12660192

I got the £3 bracket from here: http://tinyurl.com/33o2y7p

I used part of the top price too though as it allows the light head to rotate to cater for bar sweep. Hacksaw required.

Edit: Too slow - Jamies link refers to the same fix.

I used a piece of rubber under the mount so it holds a bit firmer. Also worth checking is the screw that screws the mount to the lamp unit. Mine sometimes get a bit loose and the light starts to wobble a bit no matter how tight the o ring on the clamp is.

Is the light actually turning on and off due to the vibration?
If so that sounds more serious than just a new mount.

I took the mount off my old lumicycle lamp and screwed it into the magicshine lamp. perfect
you can get them here
http://www.lumicycle.com/product/214/qr_cam/qr-camlock-bracket.html for 8 quid.
no hacksaw required.
