Fancy a collaboration type thingy?

Something along the lines of...

I'll sort out a suitable 12bar backing track and put it somewhere you can download it.

You then record yourself going once or twice around. Either in video or audio plus stills.
I'll clang it all together, and post it up somewhere for everyone to experience.

What'dyer'reckon?

SB 🙂

PS - Other instruments welcome, piano, sax, harp, etc

Is there an element of quality control involved? Can anyone join in or are you going to do a Simon Cowell and reject some people due to their merely subjective assessment of a total lack of musical talent?

Cool - I have no audio software. Do we just record say off a video camera and then send that to you? I assume we have your track playing on the computer but with headphones or something?

I have a buffalo drum, bongos, rattle, tamborine, shaker, flute, jews harp, guitar and Roland EG101 Groovekeyboard at my disposal, assuming we get this done in the next 2 weeks before everything has to get packed up and shipped out!

I'll get Roper round my house for a rehersal before the final cut too 😀

Great!
Well done everyone for entering into the spirit of the thing.

Like Tim says...
You can get yourself a free copy of Audacity here. It's a free, cross-platform sound editor/multitrack recorder.

So, you could do something like.....
Get the backing track (that I'll provide).
Import it into audacity.
Record yourself playing along while videoing yourself on your camera.
Import both into something like windows media player.
Sync 'em up.
Send 'em to me.
Or, just send me wot you got.
I'll do the rest.

As this is an STW 1st.
Lets give it a go and see where end up eh?

Rock'n'roll!!!!

SB 🙂

I think I'll I'll stick with my buffalo drum for this one. I know my guitar and singing suck big time, but my shamanic drumming video on youtube has had 13,873 views which is alright 🙂

If you can't get to the file email me and I'll send it by return.

Be as creative as you like musically and visually (no porn).
Remember, just 12-24 bars a piece, not the whole thing!

Send me your stuff to stratobiker at yahoo.co.uk

Stratobiker, great idea!

What shall we call it?

Faux bar blues?
Bust bike boogie?

I'm gonna try and play the spokes:
Ms Spanner won't mind if I re tension her wheels in the name of art.

"Woke up this mornin', all my bearings they done seized
Said I woke up this morning, all my bearings they done seized
Saddle feel like a bandsaw and I got water on my knees"

The Hardtail Blues
Blind Lemon Crunch 1889-?

I'll have to try and have a go.

I probably should be able to work it out but what is the chord progression for this track?

Lol @ Rusty - that's cool.

muddy - It's a 12bar in Cm.
Basically...
Cm/Cm/Cm/Cm/Fm/Fm/Cm/Cm/Gm/Fm/Cm/Gm

For those of you who are feeling a bit flash.....
Do it in the style of another. Or do some s****y stuff on the ending.

I had a quick practice this morning. I am thinking horns via my keyboard as my other stuff didn't really fit the blues.

Will email the video clip over tonight 🙂
