from the people who make ragley/oneone bars
-
Bit random and not sold by them, but the people who make their bars also make these quite dangerous looking "anybars".

For those of you who want to know how i know this is who makes there stuff, its written at the top of the CEN certificate they have on their website!
Posted 12 years agoWhat the blinking flip?
Posted 12 years agoWhy are they dangerous? They look pretty safe to me.
Inserts will make the bar quite strong won't they?
Posted 12 years agojust noticed the oneone/nukeproof seatposts are identical to the control tech ones. take your pick at prices between £35 and £65 for the same thing
Posted 12 years agoSooo… could you make riser bars with drops on the ends?
Posted 12 years agoNukeproof carbon forks are the same as the exotic forks just £70 more for the decal.
Nukeproof = rebadge and double the price
Mugs theres one born every minute
Posted 12 years agoit's all about branding,,, there are people out there who pay to have purple anodized parts,,, they must be performance enhancing as they cost more
Posted 12 years agomr Bravo have you got a personal vendetta against our smaller cycle companies? why?
Posted 12 years agoHey One Eared Preston leave tangobravo alone – It's a good job there are such experts on this forum, they even win awards I hear.
Posted 12 years ago"Something that looks a bit weird is made by same company that makes things for a company that I appear not to like" shocker.
😉
Posted 12 years agoHe knows so much that he may even get an award.
Posted 12 years agoTangobravo – do you have a problem with shedfire?
It seems rather odd.
Why do you quote the source of your 'findings'?
Got to say… i really like the stuff. Its sensibly priced, got some balls behind it and there doesn't seem to be any BS involved either.
Its also really nice that Brant actually makes a point of designing real kit rather than buying job lots of tat from large trade shows and sticking some logos on it like some.
Which would you rather have in an industry, innovation or regurgitation. I like the former. Thats why I get behind it.

He knows so much that he may even get an award.😉 😈
Posted 12 years agoThanks very much for the seemingly irrelevant inclusion of Ragley/Shedfire in this PSA.
Posted 12 years agoyou're a bit like Scunthorpe, without the Shorpe.
Posted 12 years agoSeveral of you need to dismount some mighty high horse there.
Where did the OP say that they didn't like On-One or Ragley? They simply said that a company that supplies them makes some interesting looking bars which in their opinion look dangerous. Some of you lot read way too much into stuff.
Posted 12 years agomaybe you haven't read the previous threads
Posted 12 years agoBad idea 😯
Posted 12 years agoRe-wind… re-post….. 'look at these bars, I think they look dangerous. what does everyone else think? ' 😯
Enough said I'd of thought… 😀
Are the bars the concern.. ? It's small world! 8)

Posted 12 years agoI'm all for the transparency. I'd like to know a lot more about the taiwanese cycle part industry. I like my on-one just like the next person, but I'm bothered that it can't be made here for an economic price, and that's before we start taking about environmental impact of moving bits of metal all around the world
Could someone write a paper on it for all our education?
Posted 12 years agotransparent Bars…cool! A bit like porn heels..er… what ever they are?
Posted 12 years agoMakes the weirdo's have something 'different' "hey look at me"
Posted 12 years agobump – just for the fun of it 😈

mr Bravo have you got a personal vendetta against our smaller cycle companies? why?didnt expect all this stuff on the fan ,,, shame i have been out this morning missed all the fun
Posted 12 years agoJust to be 100% transparent .
On-one bars , are not made by aricle , they are made by our friends at PMT , who we think the best tubing manufacturer and bar maker in the world . Not sure who brant is working with now but we had many visits to PMT and had to explain to them why their own label bars were not a big seller .
Seeing a bar being made through the various stages of cold drawing , forming , and bending is quite a joyous experience .
PMT produce bars for the likes of Easton , Profile , Deda , Bontrager , and really are the place to go if you want to bend aluminum into handlebars of various shapes and sizes .
They also produced the frame tubes for klein back in the day.
Posted 12 years agoI don't get the "award winning" jokes – did fruit win something ?
Posted 12 years agoThank you for that Dave 🙂
