The 5mm allen key in my eklind set has started to wear after not loads of use it has to be said.
Can anyone recommend a make (and where can buy from) that will last and not round off? If I could just buy a 5mm even better but would go for another set if I have to.

Cheers

Andy

halfords professional range are decent tools for not too much money - nearly as good as real pro stuff for a lot fewer pennies

Snap on for the win of course

my halfords allens have lasted 8 years or so and have been used on tons of stuff, like cars, motos and pedal bikes, never have they failed! highly reccomended.

I'm looking again for some too, checked out halfords and they didn't seem to stock a decent set, just some draper ones - this was in a large display of spanners & socket sets.
I've also looked in on some tool stockest & none seem to stock anything brands that been recommended before.
So any recommendations for a online supplier would be useful

SP - yes, though only on their branded kit

"allen" hex keys are pretty good,
like 'hoover' vacuum cleaners

I have found the Park ones NOT to be hard wearing, this thread is timely as I need to replace one of them!!

I always use Bondhus and tend to loose them before breaking them.

Snap On.
Use them everyday at work and got a full set of metric and imperial ones for the garage, had 10 years of use and still going strong.

Or failing that halfords profesional, i've got some of their sockets and spanners, seem good quality for the money!
